Europe had always been the region of innovation that broke barriers to advance the human race. Newspaper, Telephone, Submarine, Helicopter, and even the world-wide-web, are all European inventions. However, at present time when innovation is more important than any time before, Europe is lagging behind. The reason for this are policy and priority. EU countries spend less than 2% of GDP in R&D, which is far less than that of Japan, USA & China. In 2050, I want to see a Europe which is a world leader in Ideas & Innovations. ONCE AGAIN!
